My Story and Mission:

As a woman who was abruptly forced into surgical menopause in 2017 — after two surgeries for borderline ovarian cancer that spread to my uterus — I know firsthand how real and impactful menopause symptoms can be. I was blindsided by severe arthritic pain, massive eye site degradation and decreased brain function so much so that my ability to live a “normal” life was impacted. I also know how contradictory menopause literature can be after reading more than 20 books in one year. My astonishment with the lack of good information and menopause-trained doctors is what fuels my passion and led me to create The Women’s Health Panel series on menopause.

As founder and organizer of this panel, my mission is to provide access to critical information on the phases of menopause from top women’s health experts in a safe, supportive, and trusted environment. I want to inspire women to become fully aware of symptoms and possible remedies or lifestyle changes that can make a difference in their lives. I desire for all women to feel good in their bodies and minds as they age. I aim for attendees to leave each event having learned something new, to feel empowered and more curious about their own bodies and health options. And to feel zero shame about this phase of life or the topic of menopause.

An Overview:

The Women’s Health Panel: Thriving Through Menopause is a unique educational panel series that aims first and foremost to educate individuals on all phases of menopause. We want to demystify this overly misunderstood topic and bust through old belief systems about what it means to be a woman in her 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond! By increasing awareness and recognition of common symptoms and providing information on a variety of solutions, our hope is that panelists inspire women to have more informed and confident conversations with their medical practitioners.

We are embarking upon our second year of serving the broader women’s health movement in the San Francisco Bay Area! We’re proud to announce that the success of the two 2019 panels has created a following that’s expanding quickly as women desire to learn more about how they can navigate symptoms in a variety of ways.

What makes this panel series unique is the breadth of modalities and trusted experts we have on the panel, from western allopathic practitioners — OBGYNs, pelvic health physical therapists, naturopathic doctors, nutritionists and hormone therapy experts — to eastern practitioners of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and Ayurvedic philosophies. And we provide both introductory discussions as well as deep dives on specific topics of interest.

Many women are at the height of their careers when perimenopause and menopause hit, so it’s critical for them to be able to learn about the latest natural remedies, medical treatments, devices, and lifestyle options available to them as they encounter various symptoms.

With so much information available today, the topic of hormones, hormone therapy and the interplay of sex hormones with stress hormones, adrenal fatigue and cortisol overload can be confusing. So these panels offer women the opportunity to gather in community, face-to-face with trusted experts who deeply care about ensuring women learn how to be their best health advocates.

Why Sponsor:

Being present as a sponsor at the Women’s Health Panel Series is a privilege, as we only select companies that are vetted, reputable, reliable and highly trusted by our panelists. This unique event provides an excellent and valuable opportunity for you to have access to the event attendees and panelists.  Our attendees are curious about everything perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause. This ranges from lifestyle changes and self-care, to understanding hormones, hormone therapy, natural solutions, stress hormones, pelvic floor health, and more.

Because we take this seriously and focus on high standards, we only allow limited sponsors at each panel.  Our attendees desire trusted solutions and exposure to a variety of options. Our western doctor panelists come from the Bay Area’s finest institutions and our alternative and functional doctors are highly respected in the community. By becoming a sponsor, we truly believe YOU will gain instant credibility in the community.

Your sponsorship will allow us to put on this event. Covering operating costs, the doctors, venue, food, and furthering the education channels via video replay. And most importantly, your sponsorship will provide discounted and free tickets to women that are hungry to learn about menopausal symptoms and treatments but who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial limitations.

Ultimately, our goal is to provide education and possible solutions to menopausal symptoms so that women can live fully and thrive as they age!  And we want for you to be a big part of this journey in helping expand women’s health opportunities.
